Hi, I'm Claire...

"I'm an Occupational Therapist with over 25 years of experience in supporting families. I am absolutely passionate about the role of relationships, internal motivation, communication and connection in play and occupational therapy. I am trained in DIR Floortime® therapy and use sensory integration in my practice.

I use a strengths based approach when working with children and families, working in a child led and respectful way, while also being clear about the needs and challenges faced.

My previous roles have been in a range of mainly community and school settings and have included working as the clinical lead OT for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and most recently, working in an neurodevelopmental team.

I’m a parent of two sons, and carer of my youngest son who has complex medical needs, is multiply neurodivergent and is deaf. I have previously been a special school governor, and have lots of experience of the special school system."
